Last Sigh:  Could you present who you are, and briefly give us a recap of Strangulated Beatoffs career?

Beatoffs:  Stan Seitrich and Fritz Noble. Our career has just begun!

Last Sigh:  I heard you used to be in a band called Drunks With Guns....care to comment on this?

Beatoffs:  Stan was, Fritz was in White Suburban Youth at the time.

Last Sigh:  Your new self-titled album is out on Chicago-based Skin Graft. What made you take your new album to this label? What does Skin Graft offer you that other labels (perhaps) do not?

Beatoffs:  Money! Mark Fisher's competence.

Last Sigh:  Could you describe your sound on the new CD? How does it show your development as a band?

Beatoffs:  No comment.

Last Sigh:  Could you tell us a little about the procedure of composing your music? How do you work together as a band? What equipment do you utilize?

Beatoffs:  We do most of our stuff seperately, then collaborate for the finished product. our equipment consists of VCR's and TV's,and samplers of course!!

Last Sigh:  Could you tell us about some of your favorite sources for samples?

Beatoffs:  No comment.

Last Sigh:  Do you consider your music subversive in any way? I have heard that it contains tons of subliminal messages!! Is this true?

Beatoffs:  YES.

Last Sigh:  Are there any circumstances in which you think your music is particularly well experienced? (Should one listen to it by candlelight; while intaking half a gallon of icecream; while watching TV; etc.?

Beatoffs:  YES

Last Sigh:  I hear there was some controversy over the cover art for the CD. Could you throw some light on this issue?

Beatoffs:  No comment.

Last Sigh:  The notorious bootleg label SiNRAFT has recently released a pirate version of you hard to find 1992 double-7" single set. How do you feel about this? Do you know what Skin Graft is doing to stop these insiduous bootleggers (SiNRAFT released a bootleg of a Lake Of Dracula live performance last summer as well, ed.)?

Beatoffs:  We like the cover!

Last Sigh:  Some of your release are becoming incredibly scarce, and people pay very high prices for them. Is this something you will try to cash in on? Any rereleases planned?

Beatoffs:  NO

Last Sigh:  Apparently Strangulated Beatoffs are all the rage in Germany. What is it about your music that you think appeals so much to the Germans?

Beatoffs:  We too are german.

Last Sigh:  I know you recently performed in Chicago. How did this go? And, Is there any hope that you may tour more extensively in support of the new CD?

Beatoffs:  If the money is right!

Last Sigh:  What kind of figures are we talking?

Beatoffs:  Plenty.

Last Sigh:  When you are not busy in the studio, how do like to spend your time? Do you feel that rock 'n roll stardom has changed you as individuals and/or your styles of living?

Beatoffs:  The fast cars and faster women are great! But the paparazzi might be the death of us!!!!!

Last Sigh:  I know a lot of people are dying to know what inspired the name of your band. Would you care to tell us?

Beatoffs:  Sally Jessy Raphael gave us the name. She's a talk show host on TV.

Last Sigh:  Is there anything in your history as Strangulated Beatoffs so far that you are particularly proud of?

Beatoffs:  We beat up big chief! and took their beer money!!!

Last Sigh:  What is up for Strangulated Beatoffs in the (near) future?

Beatoffs:  Who know's? Much more to come.

Last Sigh:  Is there any hope that you might make the leap to TV-stardom one of these days? Are there any other mediums that you think you might take a stab at one of these days?

Beatoffs:  Fritz has made several porno movies, Stan is half owner of a nudist club in southern Florida!
