An Introduction to

Guitar, wrenching, screeching.
Purveyor of darkness and other necessities for the terminus.
Mark Campbell
Keyboards, subsonic waves, knob twister.
Collecting razors for the final descent...
Dan Dale
Drums, head tightener, torn ligamentum.
Post modern master of the apocalypse; vers 1.0.
Chris Hayes
Percussion, drum programming, beat finder.
Enigmatic, dedicated S&M master/servant.
Lance Hayes
Voices, keyboards/sampling/noise production, riveting.
"It slips around loudly, wettly inthe fore of my face,
a dead and useless third eye....
Hailing from the Seattle Washington area, Meat Distributors is
an eclectic blend of the
sounds and talent emanating from the Northwest region of the United States. Not to be
taken
lightly by the name, this quintet brings some of the best electronic-indigenous industrial
music I
have heard in a long time. Not only is Meat Distributors
original in their sound, but they far
surpass the talents of most others in the field. I found them to be easy to work with,
quite
humourous, and very intelligent.
Having recently played the Fenix
Aboveground in Seattle with Pin Go In and 2 Minutes
Max the reviews are a testimonial that Meat Distributors
should not be missed as stated by
Doug Lemmon of Noize Foundation,
"Out of all three bands that
played, I highly recommend seeing Meat Distributors. While 2
Minutes Max and Pin Go In both have a more activeand
exhilarating performance and make
excellent music, Meat Distributors definitely make incredible music, worth seeing
live."
Meat Distributors
was rated an "A" by INsite Magazine where they stated, "These are
four songs [Gimp] I'd happily fling my body around to...Meat Distributors
weave a pattern of
carrion, pestilence, war, famine and plaque over a Nitzer Ebb landscape
of automations, gravel
factories and Styrofoam mines." (Sept 97)
Not only are the Men of Meat
Distributors playing live shows and continuing to work on the
band, Lance Hayes owns a studio in Seattle and keeps quite busy. Lance is also working
with
sexwithsarah, producing and finishing up their
new release, Insert; thrust; repeat,
due out in July
1998.
We hope you enjoy reading about
Meat Distributors. Their music is original, intense and
delicious. Their vocals, guitar and percussion are excellent -- and from what I hear,
their live
shows are very much worth attending. So get out and support Meat Distributors.
They are
playing the Fenix above ground on Thursday May 28th with 2 Minutes Max.
Kick it HARD Meat
Distributors! I wish I could attend... Sigh.....
Sin-cerely,
Kim Ann Alexander
