Question: Erie - So is it true that you mascarade as a showdog on cold
winter mornings?
<Erie> Definitely! We'll just have to clear it with 21st
Circuitry. Which shouldn't be a problem.
<Anna> Yes, we'd love to
<Erie> Whatcha' gonna call it?
<Anna> cool! It should be a good comp. then.
Question: How did the tour go last spring? what was the best and worst
venue you had? (snicker)
<Sin-tek2> Erie: dunno yet, if you have ideas, lemme know.
<Anna> Erie and Anna are from LUXT talking to you from separate computers
<Erie> Hrm... Best was LaCross wisconsin.

respectables st. cafe
Question: Erie: what made lacross the best?
<Erie> The people just fucking rocked!

<Erie> I take opium anally, I don't know where you heard the rumors.
<Erie> :)

Comment: Anna I saw you live and now casually refer to you as the goddess of beauty
Question: erie, didn't you kick out the 2 metalheads?
<Erie> But live, Israel and Dave (keys and bass respectively) are gone, and our old
drummer, tony, is now on keyboards.
<Erie> Yes... Ha! The metalheads are gone.
Question: anna:how do u like wu-tang's new album? or aphex twin's new
single?
<Erie> We've gone back to using dat on stage, it's what people want to hear.
Question: Israel and dave left because luxt isn't metal enough?
<Erie> wutang ack! aphex twin ack!
<Anna> Bio: who are you referring to? I'm curious as to which 2 YOU think are the
metalheads??
<Anna> not familiar with either of the 2
Comment: anna: dave n israel
Question: Luxt: what do you listen to in your leisure time?
<Anna> That's right!!
<Erie> Leisure time? What's that?
<Anna> Hey Erie stole my line, I was gonna write that
Question: Luxt: who would be your muscian(s) of choice to work with live
if you had a choice?
Question: if you could pick an up and coming band to open for you guys,
who would it be?
Question: Do you have any favorite color of nailpolish?
<Erie> I've been listening to pulp and lenny kravitz ( I never listen to industrial
when we're writing a new album)
Comment: eeeeeek brit pop
<Erie> We'd rather open for a larger act.
<Erie> hahah!
Question: erie: do u like morrissey?
<Anna> I would say black right now, but silver's pretty cool
Question: Erie - Favorite book (not including pOrn)?
<Erie> no
<Erie> well, some
Question: Anna- do you prefer crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
<Anna> CRUNCHY

Quesion: why is the sky blue?
<Erie> To match my cold, cold heart.
<Erie> hahahaha!
<Anna> Hmmm up and coming band, so you mean a band that is smaller than us?
<Erie> Who would we work with live?
<Erie> Hmmm...
<Erie> Acumen!
Comment: Erie: yes, who?
Comment: Acumen???????
Question: how'd the Industro-Rave go?
Comment: could be arranged erie!
<Anna> musician of choice, honestly I haven't thought of that yet.
Question: Acumen or acumen Nation?
Comment: Acumen!
<Erie> Industro rave was fun! But the people lacked energy for both nights.
<Erie> PLEASE ARRANGE IT!!! >:)
Comment: Erie: ok, just say WHEN ok? email me
<Erie> We want to tour with someone bigger in April. Would love to do it with
Acumen.
Comment: acumen nation right?
<Erie> Acumen are acumen nation now.
<Erie> They had to change their name.
<Anna> if you are just asking about any up and coming band, I would say that I'd
love to open for Hansel und Gretal
<Erie> hahaha
Comment: Anna: they are on tour now......
<Erie> Yeah, HuG fucking rockS!
<Erie> yeah, with SMG and Prong right now.
Comment: acumen, HuG and LUXT
<Erie> April/May is the next tour (depending on El Nino).
<Erie> haha!
<Anna> Yeh, I know. We plan to go out in April or May,. Yes Spring
<Erie> We need to finish the album by mid-december.
<Erie> ACUMEN = GODS
<Erie> Also pretty damn nice guys.
<Erie> duke nukem.
Question: the old one?
<Erie> Oh, yeah, the cop.
<Anna> I don't have one, not much of a video game player
<Erie> The cops in Arizona don't like you to urinate on the side of the road.
Question: Luxt: what is your favourite film?
<Erie> Don't have the new one yet.
Question: how many tracks is your studio?
<Erie> Blade Runner
Question: Anna: fav film?
Question: what about luxt videos?
<Anna> 64 track digital
<Erie> We have 4 track hardware Akai dr4vr, ADAT XT 8 track digital and are getting
layla when it comes out.
<Anna> fav film?? None that I can think of at the moment
Question: who do you hate and why?
Question: is luxt going to release anything on Quantum loop records? heh
Question: Luxt: is Xorcist fun to work with?
<Erie> Quantum Loop is don's answer to electronica. If he thinks it will get on AMP
he'll sign it.
<Anna> People who can't help themselves out of lack of motivation. Those who expect
others to do everything for them because the world owes them
<Erie> hate is misdirected anger.
<Erie> Anger needs to be focused into energy (positive)
<Erie> Xorcist are very nice. Kinda keep to themselves though.
Question: do you believe in objectivism?
<Erie> What's your definition of objectivism?
<Erie> That's like saying, "what's industrial".
Comment: it's a philosophy
Question: Luxt: next tine you come to ohio will you stay at my house?
Question: how's the scene in the big Sac?
Question: Luxt: do you think *Industrial* music in dying?
<Erie> We don't usually hate people, we just sidestep the bad ones.
<Erie> I don't know, are you a spy?
<Anna> No I don't think industrial is dying, people are just giving up on it
Comment: i dont know.. i might be a spy.. those guys are pretty tricky
<Erie> I believe in utilitarianism and working toward the future.
<Anna> [answer to staying at a friends home while on tour...] sure if the offer is
open. Just email us your address so I can keep it on file for the next tour
Comment: [response to staying at this person's home] cool
<Erie> the sac [Sacramento, California] scene rocks. But it's only because of our
club. That sounds really egotistical, but it's way too true.
<Erie> People usually bail out of a music scene claiming it's dead, right before it
really takes off.
Question: Luxt: any theme to the new cd?
<Anna> I'll let Erie answer that one
<Erie> Yeah, it's about warring religions a hundred years from now.
Question: Luxt- whats it like being rock stars and doing online chats?
<Erie> Set in New Orleans.
<Erie> [Rock star response] just like being an average joe doing chats. Except
people pay attention to you. :)
Comment: [New cd theme...] new orleans? why new orleans of all places?
<Erie> CASSINI ROCKS! We need more plutonium in our lungs anyway!
Question: how about warring religion now?? :)
Question: Luxt: what do you think of the Cassini Probe?
<Erie> [Continued answer about the theme of their new CD...] Well, it's kind of now
but really magnified in the future. So it's easier to look at it as being ridiculous (like
it is now, but not so apparant.)
Comment: you need plutonium to supply the 2.1 gigawatts that is needed to make time travel
possible
<Erie> I think we're going to need to go somewhere in the future. Space is
neccessary.
<Erie> It's all technology. The risks make it all the more neccessary to shake
things up on this boring rock.
<Anna> Rock Stars huh? I wouldn't go that far, this is just fun
<Erie> [More comment on Cassini probe...] If it blows up. We'll build another one
while we cough.
Question: [more about the theme to the new cd....] back to the new
orleans question... why new orleans???
Question: luxt : what do you feel when you hear this word "starlite
motel"
Question: how did the Seibold remix come about?
Comment: shitlite motel
<Erie> Well, I've written (am writting) these stories that revolve around massive
pre-fab cities in the future, and i've written that all of the religions aren't too
welcome in these new megaplexes, so they all kinda migrate to their new holy land which is
at the delta of the mississippi (kind of a draining point of the old bible belt) and
slowly turn into corporations more than religions.
<Erie> SCARELITE ACK!
Comment: [more on the shitlight hotel...] i cant believe i have to admit that i live 4
blocks from that shithole
<Erie> Don from 21c wanted Seibold (who is one of the coolest people on the planet)
to do it. So he did. And we thank him.
<Anna> megaplex, that's right
<Erie> Yeah, megaplex is about megaplexes.
Question: Luxt: are you into any organized religious dogma?
<Erie> I hate organized religion.
<Anna> [and yet more of the Shitlight hotel...] that sucks, we could have stayed
with you instead of that bug infested shithole
Question: or karma?
<Erie> I think religion gives god a bad name.
Comment:[so and so...] claps her hands for Erie!
<Erie> I don't believe there's anyway to know anything. You can only feel.
Comment: Anna- yes megaplex, my fav track off disrepair
Question: erie, have you produced or engineered for any other bands?
<Erie> Karma makes a lot of sense to me. It has to do with respect, and the
collection of positive energy.
<Erie> We drove all night from Minn.
Comment: Yeah, next time luxt goes on tour to Your town, put 'em up for dah night
<Erie> I'm working on our old keyboardists band (done 7 songs for him) but I'm very
interested in moving in that direction.
Question: what did you think of :a~pod?
Question: erie: what made you choose gary numan "the cars" to
cover on Newer Wave?
<Erie> We did 3 songs (Winter Kills, Who's that Girl, and Cars) and don picked cars
for newer wave, and winter kills for our album.
<Erie> Don = label guy
Question: does the Luxt van have a "if the van's a rocking don't
come a knocking" sticker on it?
<Anna> APod, good for what they do, but definitely not industrial
<Erie> No, there's no room to "rock" in it.
Question: oh, you've tried?
<Erie> Not much sex to report on tour.
<Erie> Hell, we tried to sleep in it and couldn't, so fucking was out of the
question.
Question: Erie - not even locked in the bathroom enjoying Mary Palm and
her five friends?
<Erie> Apod is more of an ATR RATM thing.
Comment: Rosey palm
<Erie> I jerk off in the shower.
Comment: so do i
Comment: [directed to Erie...] good man.
Comment: haha
Comment: [directed to the person who knows Rosey Palm...] you know Rosey?
Comment: hahaha
<Erie> But the jiz get's stuck in my toe hairs.
Comment: liveoneline is turning #sexliveonline
<Erie> hahaha!
Comment: #livesexonline
<Erie> I'll need to type with one hand.
Comment: lol
Comment: changes topic to "#sexLiveonline chat tonight with 21st Circuitry recording
artists, Luxt (at) 11pm EST"
<Erie> Apod seemed nice enough. But I wasn't into their sound at all.
<Erie> [directly to the topic change...] hahahah
Question: who is Apod?
Question: when are you guys touring again?
Question: so erie. what does the theory of six degrees of separation mean
to you in this contemporary society?
Question: erie - would you ever compose music for a pOrn movie?
Question: Anna: what do you listen to in your leisure time?
<Erie> That means it takes six degree's more to make it hot enough for me to have to
separate my sticky pee pee from my scrotum.
<Anna> April or May of next year
Comment: lol
Comment: [relative to the band: Apod]...member that old band i was in..?
<Erie> no, idiot stare advised against it.
Comment: industrial is dead, dead as fried chicken
Question: Luxt: any idea where your next tour will take you? (what parts
of the us?)
Question: anna:do u feel that there is a lack of talent in today's
industrial?
Comment: it seems that the same re-hashed garbage is being put out by bands on cleo and so
forth
Comment: erie: industrial does lack a lot of support though, both from radio and tv.
Question: erie : do you listen to house?
<Erie> not one bit.
<Erie> It starts on E
Comment: house sucks
<Erie> I think that there's a HUGE distance between the underground and the
mainstream, and few bands have been able to occupy that space. They're either too anxious
to please the masses or too reluctant to say "fuck the underground" and risk
being laughed at.
<Anna> I don't think there is a lack of talent, I just think some bands are too lazy
to really dive into the programming aspect of music and quit using presets
<Erie> I think that industrial music should be made without a thought about it's
audience.
<Anna> Our mext tour should be west coast to mid-west
<Erie> But only made with the intent that it be entertaining and enjoyable to listen
to.
<Erie> Anna: yes!
<Erie> yo!
Question: Anna: going to florida?
Question: luxt : was that guitarist you had with a tour guitarist only?
<Erie> I've been making electronic music for 14 years, and seen styles come and go.
I looked for years to find heavy electronic based music. I found it in 86 when I heard
front 242 for the first time. I went through an anti-guitar phase when I was young and
naive, but now I think sound is sound. Why fear it?
<Erie> that's phil. He lives with us. His band is called Afterbirth, and it's a
purely electro project. He hate's guitars, but loves playing them for us live. Strange,
huh?
Question: just outta curiosity, when are you gonna tour new zealand?
they're dying for good music out there
<Erie> I don't like techno, or house etc. because it doesn't hit hard enough for my
liking, but that doesn't make it bad music.
Comment: Luxt: yes! we have contacts in new zealand!
<Erie> Give us the plane tickets, we'll play New Zealand.
Question: Luxt- one last question to go.. what do you think of 16 volt?
<Erie> Very nice guys.
<Erie> I personlly like their older stuff better.
Question: Luxt: do you know any bands that would like to do a live chat
with us? if so, can you email me about it?
Comment: [from a person in New Zealand...] all sorts of contacts in new zealand *smirk*
Question: [about 16Volt...] erie : oh yeah! oi remember you telling me
that..is he signed yet?
<Erie> I know what Eric is doing, but I'm not sure he was totally in love with
industrial music from square one anyway.
<Erie> he's handed stuff to 21c and COP personally, he's sending stuff to
Metropolis and others this week actually.
Comment: metal!!! \../
<Anna> Florida's a little far for us on the next tour. We'd really like to stay away
from the east coast until we can afford to do a 2 month tour
<Erie> I think Eric is tired of kicking hard against the brick wall of underground
industrial, but running for the tried and true a bit too quickly. It's too easy to lose it
all that way. Risky in a bad bad way.
<Erie> Florida weren't too receptive to us or Scar Tissue actually, but we still
liked it.
<Anna> New Zealand. We'd love to play anywhere, it just a matter of affordability
<Erie> Eric is very cool actually. [of 16volt]
<Erie> I don't want to throw any adjectives around.
<Erie> Where do you guys see industrial going?
Question: erie : is the new album have more guitar or less?
Comment: [On where Industrial is going...] i dont see it going anywhere
Comment: i see it dying..i see trip hop taking over.
<Erie> more of everything. more guitar, more electro, more loops, more ENERGY!!!
more gear.
Question: Luxt: how would you define the sounds you produce?
<Erie> Everyone keeps pointing to techno, house, trip hop, and other sorts of music
as "taking over" industrial. All of these styles have been around for years and
still lag behind industrial by 10 years of foundation. I think it's rather goofy myself.
<Erie> [relevant to the *sound* of Luxt:] Whatever the song asks for. We give.
Comment: [from a fan leaving the chat...] Erie, Anna, I love your music...take care.
<Erie> bye vaga!
<Erie> :)
<Erie> Radio = you get what you pay for.
Question: ...whatever the song asks for.....when yer writing, is that the
approach you usually take...just see where the music itself leads?
<Erie> I haven't listened to the radio for over 10 years.
<Erie> Actually, yes.
Question: have you ever run into a song that just did not want to end in
that case?
* sin-tek2 wants to THANK each and everyone of you for showing up tonight to visit with
LUXT!
<Erie> Radio exists for one reason. The making of money. Not to bring music to you,
not to make your day go by faster, not to support the artist who are on the radio, but to
make money. Period. What could be good about music on the radio?
<sin-tek2> Erie: that we can turn it off when we want to? or not turn it on to begin
with...
<Erie> No. They're all like sex. Foreplay, grinding, climax, afterplay, sleep. Ha!
Comment: LOL hahahhaa
<Erie> yeah.
<Erie> SNOG!
<testure> w00!
<Erie> Talk shows on the radio, I understand. news, yes. But music? What the fuck?
<Erie> So, Anna, do you promise to jump in the pit on the next tour?
Question: how did the san jose show go?
<Erie> SAN JOSE SUCKS.
<Anna> Sure, as long as there's a pit
<Erie> So, everybody. Start a pit next tour and you'll get to rub up against Anna!
<Erie> CONTACT! Bodily damage!
<Erie> Yes!
Question: what about erie? how about the whole band?
<Erie> Erie would crush everyone.
Comment: uh..then whos gonnaplay?
<Erie> Hahah!
<Erie> DAT!
Comment: who the hell needs to play? hahahah
<Erie> hAHAHA!
Question: Luxt: what kind of puters you use to programme?
<Anna> hahahahah
<Erie> pc
<Erie> Cakewalk 6
<Erie> Cakewalk 6 was more fun.
<Erie> Cubase is good too though.
<Erie> We have been acquiring gear since we finished Disrepair, so we can kick it's
ass now
Question: so have you had the dreaded gear list question yet?
<Erie> nope.
<Erie> Want it?
<Erie> Anna, look around the studio and tell me if I forget anything.
<Anna> ok
<Erie> Here goes with the gear list... wait while I type it.
Question: Anna: is your hair still blood red?
<Anna> No, I got sick of dying it every week and 1/2 so I changed to purple. For
some reason it stays in longer. Over a month
Question: Anna : manic panic?
<Erie> GEAR: Ensoniq sq-80, korg m3r, peavey spectrum synth with 1600 sysex
programmer, Roland jv-880 with classical expander board, emu esi32 with 32 megs and 1gig

alesis adat xt,
<Anna> no, punky colors, I think it's the same thing though. I used Purple rain
<Erie> I'm sure I missed something.
Question: did you have the 8p with on tour?
<Erie> 9p is hissy as hell.
<Erie> 8p sorry.
<Erie> no, but it's what we use for live now.
Question: controller?
<Erie> Oh, yeah, an Aphex exciter with big bottom.
<Erie> controller for live? no just the 8p
<Erie> aural exciter at that. With big bottom!
<Erie> hahahahaha!
Question: is the aphex better than the BBE?
<Erie> I don't know, haven't used the bbe.
<Erie> Honestly, much of the outboard gear will be replaced with npp software
extentions.
Question: Luxt: wanna plug BioMech?
Question: Luxt: got a name for the new cd?
<Erie> Yeah, biomech. The coolest club in the us.
Question: Title?
<Erie> It's called Razing Eden.
Question: razed in black?
<Erie> hahaha!
<Erie> Razed in black, that never made any sense to me.
<Erie> "Leveled in black."
<Erie> "Flattened in black"
<Erie> Demolishing heaven.
Question: Luxt: would you like to donate one of your new cds to Lastsigh
as a giveaway?
<Erie> You know what amish techno sounds like?
<Erie> JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER FUCKING TECHNO!
<Erie> hahah!
<Erie> boom tssss boom tsssss boom tsssss
Question: luxt : tell me why all your heads are positioned in a pentagram
on disrepair?
<Erie> BECAUSE WE'RE EVIL!
Question: so it was on purpose?
<Erie> One of the people in that baphomet is a total basket case christian.
<Erie> (The black guy.)
<Erie> yeah, it was on purpose.
Question: who is that anyways..just a studio dude?
<Erie> Yeah, sinnie, if you contact him, you'll stand a better chance.
<Erie> That's tony, he plays keys live now.
<Anna> but at the time we took his picture he was our live drummer, until Erie took
over
Question: wow..touring the midest?
<Erie> Covenant are really cool people. Did I say that already?
<Erie> Damn cool people.
<Erie> yep.
Question: Luxt: can i put a video clip of the tape we did of you this
spring, on lastsigh?
<Anna> Sure
<Erie> We'd love you to.
<Erie> Time for me to go home. But Anna might stay on for a bit.
Comment: Anna, Erie: thanks for showing up here tonight. it was fun. wanna do it again
before you go on tour this spring?
<Erie> Love to.
<Anna> Thanks for having us. Goodbye everybody!!!
