The Crystal
Method The bass was loud and the
lights were bright at Cafe Casablanca, where Überzone
and The Crystal Method gave us live performanaces.
Due to the fact of arriving late, I missed Überzone's
whole performance. =( But I did happen to catch The
Crystal Method perform live for my first time. They
hit the stage around 6:45 am, and they hit it LOUD. Two
men came out and rocked the club and the dance floor.
Unaware of the song titles, I noticed that The Crystal
Method did a decent job of using live sequencing than
relying on the whole performance on DAT. They played for
about an hour, and I did happen to get some great live
shots from afar and up close. A high point in the show
was when a drunk middle-aged lady decided to get up on
stage and mess around with Methods' equipment. She was
later carried away and places back on the floor, where
she remained. The Crystal Method will be on the
Big Top tour this summer, sharing the stage with other
techno names such as Aphex Twin, Banco De Gaia,
Loop Guru, and Moby. |
