The tour showed up on time at the Intersection, a fairly well reknown club in Grand Rapids
Michigan where Front Line Assembly played in 1999. I'd say the club holds about 400+
people at max capacity. The staff there is quite friendly and accomodating.
It's a full service club in terms of alcohol but no food, a rather small stage however,
one large screen for viewing the show while sitting at the walk in area/bar, and a couple
of pool tables.
The evening started out with Lofi Scorpio, a band from Kalamazoo,
Michigan. They were supporting their second release "Noir". Unfortunately we
missed their set as we were conducting an interview with Martin Atkins and Chris Connelly.
We have in the past covered Lofi Scorpio live however, and you can catch their photos and
reviews at the following locations: photos99/lofi99.htm,

Scorpio [debut release], Joy Division Tribute Show
[Live Review].

Next up was Meg Lee Chin [See concert photos HERE] who played with band members from
Chicago, Brian Ford- Guitar, Vox, Sam Sharp- Drums, Jason Thor- Bass, Vox, Anasthesia X-
Samples, Vox. The entire cast put on a great show, super music taken from Meg Lee's Piece and Love release and Junkies and Snakes
[remixes, a great CD by the way] off Invisible Records.

Meg Lee was in rare form during this perfomance. With her sassy
lyrics and voice, dancing on stage to the beats of her new songs, she was shining!
She seemed like she was having a pretty good time! The crowd loved the performance
for the most part, even though the attendance was a bit sparce. Her backup band out of
Chicago did an excellent job, never missed a beat! Meg Lee Chin is staying in the USA for
a while and will be coming back to do more shows in the Midwest in fall and winter,
2000-2001. Great concert! Thank you Meg Lee Chin and Lofi Scorpio. Don't miss Meg Lee Chin
on tour!

Last but certainly not least, The Damage Manual came up on stage. For
this tour TDM consisted of: Martin Atkins [PIL, Pigface, on Drums, Georgie Walker [Killing
Joke] on guitar, Charles Levi [Thrill Kill Kult] on bass, Lee Fraser [Bagman & Sheep
on Drugs] on keyboard and Chris Connelly [Revolting Cocks, Ministry.] They supported
their premiere full length release off Invisible Records, The Damage Manual 1. It's vivid
restructuring reminiscent of the era of PIL, Ministry, and Revolting Cocks from the late
'80s-early '90s. Dangerous...and exciting, harsh and abrasive. But I wouldn't call it
"cock rock." Jah Wobble was NOT on tour, and Martin explains why in our interview with him from
this event. Overall, the tour was very much worth seeing... regardless of all the negative
input about Wobble not coming over, the show was GREAT and the music was intense!

Martin Atkins kicked butt on drums.

Chris Connelly was great on vocals. He puts his "guts" into his
performance.

Lee Fraser ripped some dandy fx on keys.

Charles Levi bumped on bass.

Geordie Walker and his mad guitar growls.
