Project
Pitchfork and Dive I've seen Project Pitchfork in Gent, Belgium on April 5, with Dive as support act. PP opened because they had to drive to Barcelona, Spain for the next day, which is a 1500 km drive. Last time they were in Belgium they did a lousy concert. This time it was better, but one word says the whole thing: overkill. PP exaggerated in everything: Too loud in general: the noise destroyed all details Too loud drums and guitars: same problem here Too much light: all 6 roboscans were lit the entire time Too much show: it is almost cartoony Too much ego: they really acted like they were stars; not cool indeed Too short: no encores?? Happily for us, Dive played second; He presented his new album Snakedressed and opened with 5 new songs in a row! Few bands dare to do this. His new songs are less distorted and have nice new synthloops that make his dark songs more optimistic. The music is closer to his fomer Klinik work than his previous albums. Snakedressed was released April 7. |
