Galactic Supermarket is the latest of many incredible releases from the various aliases of Daniel Meyer. The man behind Architect is best known as a member of the premiere European EBM band Haujobb, but is also involved in numerous side-projects and collaborations including Newt, Cleen, and Dots n Dashes.

Architect is Meyer's solo attempt at drum 'n' bass. The result, I'm pleased to report, is impressive. Galactic Supermarket is sixty-five minutes of intelligent, minimalist breaks and celestial ambience.

Throughout Galactic Supermarket Meyer constructed addictive breakbeat loops interwoven with eclectic, other  worldly mirages of whirling sound.

We've already seen an influx of industrial artists trying their hand DnB with its recent epidemic of popularity. Very little that's memorable has come out of this mass cross-over, so your first impression might be "Why bother?." However, Meyer has actually achieved some degree of originality with Galactic Supermarket. He's never settled for the standard music-making formula, Haujobb is always one step ahead of even the best of their EBM colleagues. So its no surprise that Meyer brings the same innovative ethic to the music of Architect.
