Out of AdAstra Records, Ohio, Falling You  has blended superb and very beautiful dark sonic-ambient melody and mysterious aural events to create Mercy. Jennifer Peaks vocals are intensely emotional, rich and not surprising, honest when combined with lyrics that resonate with suggestions of aching, pain, loss, anger and dreams.   The music behind the vocals and lyrics are incredible.  Synths, chimes, percussion, piano, samples, rattles and programming by John Michael Zorko, which add a great deal of dimension of space, harmony, melody and emotion to a dark yet hopeful sign of peace and relief.
The CD cover sleeve thanks a number of excellent artists such as Ambient Temple of Imagination (Seofon), Lycia, (Mike and Tara), Totemplow (Chad), and Snowblind (David Galas), which denotes some of the fine influences in Falling You's world.
This release doesn't necessarily fit into any specific genre, but it does bridge the void between dark ambient synth, gothic dabble, and melodic electro-experimental.  Mercy is in fact a tear jerker for the listener who is in touch with their more emotional melancholia, yet it's also a beautiful and well composed work of aural art.
Thank you AdAstra and Falling You for sending this music to me. Mercy is a revealing retreat into my own memories and perhaps yours as well. Beautiful, chilling and hauntingly calming.
