Spacious and senuous sounds on Open~Eyed
Ascension are unlike any other ambient releases I have heard lately. This
release can be termed "New Age Space Music" and ranks right up there with the
best in the field of such music. It has a beautiful angelic like quality extending
into the heavenly realm of dronal synthetic electronica, birds gently chirping in the
background, vocals blending in as if angels were recorded directly, and a rich symphonic
orchestration throughout. Definitely easy listening for when you need to chill out
and take a break from a harsh world outside, Firmament allows you to escape from it all
into a serene setting of mystery and haunting beauty.
This CD is excellent for any household, whether you are older, younger,
with or without children. It is perfect to reduce yourself to near floating just
before you pass on into your personal dreamscape after a hectic day in your life.
The cover art is exquisite as well, and accents the music to perfection.
Visit Velvet Empire Records, let them know Last Sigh sent you, and order this
release soon. It's pure electronic bliss.
