This taped compilation includes bands comprising the Mexican electro/dark movement (headed
by EBM group Hocico), which is struggling its way up, ranging from dense
ethereal to hardcore tecno/industrial. Released under independent Binaria
Producciones, this two-taper has been very well received in the underground scene
-- which is reflected in the sales: a great achievement for a new-born indie label.
Horizonte de Sucesos:
Ethereal Orchestral. Female, ear-cracking vocals. Portent: Industrial or
electro dark. Veneno para las Hadas: "Ethereal Experimental" female,
cry-baby vocals (remind me of Cranes' Allison Shaw) dressed by
dense-as-fog guitars, with very little synths. Ogo doing what, according
to him is "Electro Drama", this solo artist makes decadent, noisy electro.
Performance is the main characteristic of the concept.
Estigia: Dark
Etheral, great guitar work. Encefalisis: Electro minimal, the guy from Ogo
and other guy, not much difference between both. Lugubrious tecno. Configuración
02 great tecno music, with both male and female vocals (and a violin). Ad
Vitam Aeternam: Future Gothic. Dancey tecno with a gothic feeling to it.
This comp gives you an overall
impression of what´s being done south of the border.
