Loop Guru's new release combines elements from Amrita, Catalogue Of Desires, and Duniya, and combines them all into one to create the album Loop Bites Dog. This 14 track new release is paced with upbeat percussion, chanting, and electronic fusion all combine with excellent production. Upbeat tracks like "White Light" and "Karma Marga" are excellent dance floor pieces. What we hear on this album is the faster tempos from the previous ones. The album still contains Loop Guru's ambient trademark, and is heard well on "Out Here." The album's first UK single, "Skin Heaven," is among one of the highlights of the album. Starting off with a simple keyboard sequence, the bass guitar and drum loop kick in. "Gungaroo" is, in my opinion, the best track on the album. Four minutes of pure bliss with sitars and chants.
Loop Guru was on the Big Top tour last year, which did not go so well in financial terms. Hopefully, Loop will hit the states again supporting their new release. The new album is out in stores now.
