Don Gordon has done it again! This CD is one of the best of the Numb catalogue. What is even more surprising is that this CD was actually completed before Blood Meridian but didn't see the light of day until afterwards. It still is years ahead of the pack in quality and just pure energy.
"Suspended", the dance floor favorite is included here and is well representative of this CD's quality. Dancing to this one is what I definitely want to be doing at the change of the millenium while pumping fists and watching all the chaos around. There really isn't a weak track here at all.
Saving the best for last is song number six "Closer". It is nothing like the washed up NIN song at all, in fact it has nothing to do with it. What it does have to do with is being an extremely well constructed masterpiece. The intro builds until 2:45 into the song and then grabs you hard! This song alone makes the entire disk worth the purchase. It hits even harder at 3:45 before finally bringing in the lyrics at 4:00. Unfortunately these lyrics aren't included in the booklet but can be found on the Numb site at http://www.cyberramp.net/~ixstream/numb for those that are interested.
If you consider yourself a real rivethead or aspire for Electro elitism, then you MUST own this disk.
