Well,
people who know me know that I adore the sounds of Scar Tissue, and this
release is no different for me. Anything Steve Watkins and Phillip
Caldwell produce is kick butt in my opinion. Rebuild has a nice variety of
remixes and some live tracks to entice you to attend one of Scar Tissue's
future shows. If you have missed them on their previous tours, well, you missed a
LOT! Centered in drum and bass with crashing power percussion, Steve
and Phil bring you some of the best West Coast (usa) progressive music
made to date!
The third release from Scar Tissue, Rebuild
brings you a varied look into their music, defying recent releases (TMOTD, [The
Memory Of The Devices], and Separator), with yet even more tasty and geniune
remixes and renditions of earlier tracks plus two live tracks from the Fenix in
Seattle, what a treat! The remixes on the CD are also fabulous work and range is
sounds from high speed techno-edge with Nerve Filter to a more
complicated yet minimalist work by cEvin Key.
New and previously unreleased material includes four tracks: Afekt,
Mammoth, Lattice and Concealed Toy all
of which are incredible tracks as well. This release was a huge collaborative event
with some very tasty bands and individuals. If you liked any previous Scar
Tissue, you really ought to get Rebuild to complete your collection. Let's
hope for a tour soon and yet another release by Steve and Phillip
in the near future!
