Well I have never heard anything quite like sexwithsarah before. If only
to give you an idea of what this music reminds me of, I would call it
Hard-Dark-Electro-Rock. The sounds here are varied, harmony, good vocals, electronic
elements that certainly enhance the overall sound, and deep grinding bass and expansive
guitar that would most likely blow the living crapola out of my woofers as in the first
track: "M-D-T".
The overall sound of sexwithsarah
is very invigorating, with ominous undercurrents of industrial metal edge electronic
rock qualities. The guitars are indeed "flawless" -- heavy, full and
unrelenting. Definitely a unique sound here. I especially like the guitars in I Don't
Believe, well struck chords, excellent drumming that sounds as if they were played
from a distance in a large tubular shaped place of some sort, as well as the vocals, soft,
sexy, and they get the point across quite well with lyrics: "Noooo....I don't believe
you!"
Heaven is another
excellent track. More up in beat than the previous, the guitars are intensely full and
expansive which support the harmonic themes and electro waves shifting the entire sound
into a meshwork of harsh but not offensive wall of sound. Changing tempo and sonics, the
track slips into a darker more subtle mode as the lead singer softly expresses himself,
with quiet gentle guitar pluckings, but then transits itself again into the driving sonic
wall once again. Don't miss this band live if you live out in the Pacific Northwest
Seattle area! Possible mini tour on the west coast coming up this year, 1998. Watch for
sexwithsarah coming soon to a CD store near you.
