Rock, metal
edge, and electro, melodic yet hardcore with great percussion and synth work pretty much
settles out the sounds on this compilation. Dark and evil is Nihil's
Nowhere To Hide and Under Me is synthy percussion and a barrage of guitar.
Mary's Window is speed bass and guitar while the Final Cut
tracks have a danceable, jazzy, not so much headbang drive to it, a more guitar/electronic
pounding dance! Nihil is evil and dark, and N17 brings
deep percussive electronic- metal with Version 1.2 [Trust No One Cd].
13 MG is smooth yet biting electro blend, excellent
track, great beat, vocals and percussion. Where are you guys anyway??? Rorshach
Test's Sex is power bang me NOW baby, boom boom boom boom slam bang grind
it up with a touch of melody, and the Dj Acucrack mis of N17's
Kontrol is rich, dark, heavy drum and bass, thick vocals, fast beat and great for
dance! The Clay People's Car Bomb (Live) is, ooooh, metal
jazz? I'm really not quite sure about this one, but the vocals are clear, and tasty.
I think i see the mosh pit in chaos at this show!
This compilation gives a pretty good picture of Slipdisc's
overall scene in terms of sound on the label. At a price of only 6$ (us) off the web
site, with Slip On This and Rock Hard, you can get an idea of what you'll find on Slipdisc
Records, short of 16 Volt and a few other bands.
