Yet
another packaging created by S.alt. If you don't already know of his
work, he is the creative force behind 90% of all the :wumpscut: packaging
until recently and almost all of the ant-zen/Hymen/Flatline releases.
Just the extra effort with the different paper in the booklets, the attention to detail
and the fabulous artwork is enough to add that special touch to the jewel case.
This is the first compilation 2 CD collection on the upstart Hymen
label. Lost of drum & bass, lots of noise, lots of hard beats and all of the dance
floor fillers you will come to love. This CD set includes exclusive, rare, and previously
unreleased tracks from the whole stable of artists and even one's from the newly signed
acts on the horizon. There is crunchy noise ala the Imminent Starvation
song, funky jams from the Icon Zero library, music to make your ears
bleed from P.A.L, Consolidated style industrial-Hip-hop
from Substanz t and the best Vromb song to date (other
than maybe the one on the Ant-thology). All of this is just a representation of
disk one!
Disk two is less industrial but equally as powerful. The Architect
track is one of their best to date and included as the opener to the second disk that
starts off things with a vengeance. Track 4 is a new Beefcake that also
ups the price of admission. Hymen new comer Somatic Responses
show the greatness of things to come. Look for their new full-length release on the Hymen
in April/May.
I could go on about this CD for pages and still not do it justice.
This is an open doorway to the bright light of new musical hope you may have been looking
for. Take a stop inside and you definitely won't be disappointed.
