Thee Angels of Light
Meets
Thee Angry Love Orchestra
April
23, 1988. The Temple Ov Thee Psychick Youth organize in London. Amid
much conflict and opposition, Thee Psychick Youth finally gather in an abandoned
warehouse next to Old Street Tube Station. A long night of sharing, talking, walking
and Thee Ritual follows, creating a beautiful memory in the minds of all
participants. The sounds and music of thee night are captured on CD and given the
name of the event: Thee Angels Ov Light Meet Thee Angry Love Orchestra.
Eden/Kali speaks of thee night in the liner notes and warns
that the CD is not meant as entertainment. Rather, it is ritual musick for thee
negation ov Control; and aid for rituals or against repressive legislation. Captured
in this audio documentary are thee ambient sounds and improvisational percussion that give
a backdrop for this historic, and slightly illegal, event. Mind-enhancing drones and
ethereal ambience mark the tracks all through the CD, providing a beautiful picture into
thee mind. Given the backdrop and importance of Thee Event, this CD is very
beautiful and serves a valid purpose. Granted, I'm not a member of Thee
Psychick Youth, but I much enjoyed this historic audio-documentary. I listen to this
much when in need of meditation or a calming time - it is also a good example of
improvisational and spiritual percussion, ambience, and ethereal sensuality. This CD
is rare; very few copies were ever released. This CD serves a positive purpose as a
milestone event and also an enjoyable listening experience.
