This is the latest offering from California's World Domination Recordings. A 2-cd set featuring artists such as Loop Guru, Perfume Tree, and Sky Cries Mary. The first disc is a collage of ambient and techno tracks pieced together to form one enjoyable CD. Perfume Tree opens the CD with "My Worst Friend (Flight Path Mix)" which is simply mesmerizing in its lullaby vocals done by the singer, Jane. Perfume Tree also closes the cd with "Crystal Tips." Loop Guru sneaks its previous 12" only remix of "Soulus" onto the CD. The remix is more minimal than its original version, as a simple drum pattern takes the place of the insane percussion, but very neat. Globo's "Truly Independent (Jack Dangers Remix)" is very MBM-esque, as it has Jack's trademark bass grooves all over it. Shriekback is killer with "Terribly Swollen." Make sure you have energy when this song gets played in your local club! Other artists such as White Girl, Loveflag, Orbitronik, and Lift Laboratories also appear on the first disc.
The second disc is a 3-song disc containing unreleased Sky Cries Mary material. The tracks remind me of Perfume Tree, or would that be the other way around? The tracks are excellent, and especially the third track, which is a 26 minute live jam that the band does entitled, "Death of A Star." I plan to pick up some Sky Cries Mary in the near future. Overall, it is a very good and low-priced disc. You can order "Into Topological Space" directly through World Domination by e-mail, their website, or telephone.

(Kim's Note : I bought Sky Cries Mary a couple years ago. A nice blend of ambient/hippy/tek-logikal music with great females vocals. Definitely get SCM if you have never heard them, from Seattle area, SCM is great *chill* music...)
