This self-titled release from electronic gothic band 3SkS, formerly known as Tri State Killing Spree is a welcome refresher of enjoyable goth music. Clever programming and rich electronics compliment the Robert Smith-like vocals in a nice gothic atmosphere.
Guitars and electronics blend together well in a clean and lightly processed sound. The sound most closely resembles mid-era Cure. The songs tend to be a bit formulaic, but it works well off of a decent formula. Vocals and lyrics are well crafted and avoid the uber-whiny niche that most goth bands fall under. A nice solid release from start to finish.
