Out of Germany, Diary of Dreams is the artistry of Adrian Hates. He is the founder and owner of the European label Accession Records. Hates is also well known for his vocal work with the German gothic rock act "Garden of Delight's" earlier releases. Musicians on this release include: Alistar Kane, Torben Wendt, and Olaf Shaning.
The music on this release is dark, compelling, gothic-edge with a flair of dance beats, harmonic melodies and emotional vocals/lyrics. Very professionally mastered and engineered, [Rainier Assmann and Adrian Hates], the sound is excellent. Each track has something different to offer, changing beats, expansive background melodies blended with strong percussion and tasty keyboard effects. Combining the experimental electronic with the darker side of industrial-gothic-edge and neo-classical, Diary of Dreams has created a rich and lush garden of sonic delight. This is one of the most innovative releases I have heard to date off Metropolis Records. Not fluffy, nor boring, "One of 18 Angels" is a satisfying and easy release to devour. A must have those who care to venture into the space of another's aural dreamscape.
