| Economi$ed is
an excellent release with a number of seasoned pro's in the field of drum and
bass/synthscape artists. With names like Mick Harris and Neal Harvey [PCM], Cylon
[Justin Broadrick], Paul Molyneux [Ocosi], Simon aka Mothboy [ex-Ocosi member], David
Reeves [Fax Label vet] of Otraslab, NOS, Gone Postal, Blankmove, Quoit, Totemplow and
Su8m3rg3d, you can't go wrong with this CD. All tracks on Economi$ed are pure genius
and quite diverse. There are bouncy drums, phat beats and grooves, deep bass,
clinking hi-hat, whirring synths, upbeat percussion, dark evil timbre, lots of fx and no
vocals of course. What's more, these tracks are previously 'unreleased', making this
CD a true collectors item. In addition to the heavy beats and scathing tempos, there
are deep hypnotic aural walls of background atmospheres and crushing breakbeats. This
release is a steal at $9 with free shipping in the US. An impressive first release
on Economy Records which comes highly recommended for all percussion, drum & bass
phreaks. |
