    Horse Penis Pants premiere release by H.P.P. is created by Italian rhythm master, Maruizio Landini and signed to Possessive Blindfold in late 1999. On the cover of the CD, Landini claims that "no sequencers were used" in creating the brutal and harsh noises on this release. Promo material states that H.P.P. delivers "sexual deviant moods to convey a feeling of distorted sex and raw and tenacious machine heavy rhythm." Indeed the sounds here draw from the power noise scene (Sonar, Noisex and Imminent Starvation], and could better be described as "Industrial Porn."
    Some of the tracks are pure noise insertions with little or no followable beats and rhythms. Other tracks however do have some dance beats which are great for club play, using drum and bass with noise injections. One track, "Abduction" is one such dance track yet it also includes high pitched squeeks and what sounds like someone playing the highest note on the E string of a violin back and forth rather quickly which would drive most people to crush the violin, ie rather annoying [for the non noise fan] but it works quite well into the piece.
   Other sounds on the release in unison with raspy repeating drum beats and low bass are hydraulic ssssshh's, meepz and high frequency SOS signals. H.P.P. comes highly recommended to the enthusiast of [irratic] rhythm and noise.
