Exclusive Bonus Track:
Memories
From Berlin, Diana Leonhardt and Riccardo Zimmerman [Terminal Choice]
bring us minimal orchestral semi-gothic arrangements with Klang Abstrakt
on "Beam". All tracks are instrumental with the exception of "Holy"
where Diana sings. Enchanting, orchestral and melancholic, "Beam" stirs up dark
synthphonic and [somewhat] classical arrangements.
A few tracks are more intense in terms of beat and rhythms which range
from a soft militant march to rolling pulses with hydraulic percussions. The background
layers are deep [sometimes rumbling or thunderous] bass synth, melodic in part, and
diffused at times with synth effects, keys, strings [cellos], swirling ambient harmonics
and angelic choir.
This release is moody, powerful and quite beautiful. It is varied and
diverse, yet track by track, the overall composition flows while supporting a rich theme
of dark ambient soundscapes. It has good production and a high quality of sound. If you
enjoy this type of music, I'd recommend getting any or all of Klang Abstrakt's releases
and/or MP3s where available. "Beam" is a release not to miss.
