The Moon Dance Experiment certainly takes a different approach.
Experimental and trippy music blend together creating an interesting combination. For an
independent production, it is extremely well produced. It has some interesting lyrics and
music, but sometimes the music tends to drag on a bit too much. It is also more of a
single production than each individual song; while each song carries some individuality,
they tend to blend together. Song wise, I think some of the better songs tend to be in the
middle tracks. "Luna so Lovely" is one I personally favor.
It also has a lot of rather random music and sounds, and while most of
the music tends to be very creatively experimental, I think this CD is better listened to
when in an altered state. One of the more interesting facts about this CD was that they
went into the studio with almost no foreknowledge of what they would produce. They did
what they call a "40", in which they spend 40 minutes playing music. The album's
lyrics speak for themselves: psychedelic sounds from the beyond.
