Stemming from Sweden, Frederik Bergström sets forth on "Officina
Gentium Vagina Nationum" with sounds probing the experimental end of dark minimal
industrial-edge/noise. Frederik has a vast background in music and post-experimental
avant-garde noise as can be witnessed by his discography [see below]. This release is
about 47 minutes total length and combines various noises of swooshes and clanging, vinyl
skips(?), etching electronic probes with spooky atmospheric backdrops and ambient pulsing
drone. At times however the sound is barely audible at times leaving the listener
wondering if anything was even recorded.
Known for his percussion and synthetic effects, Frederik toured in
Fall, 1999 United States as a tour member of Mortiis
who accompanied Christian Death, Diet of Worms and Godhead. Frederik, also known for his
work with his earlier project P/D(B) and has collaborated with In Slaughter Natives (J.
Havukainen). Bringing out the heaven in hell with sound definitions of theories resting
with the Church of Satan, No Festival Of Light has created a prolific discography of
influencial music spanning nearly a decade. No Festival Of Light comes highly recommended.
