This release is taken from a live performance at the "Palette" on 24  September, 1999 in Halle/Saale Germany. The finalizing was done by Rudy Ratzinger [:W:] in His Master's Studio in 1999. Artwork on this release was created by Morph.Arts/ Germany. This live performance is marked by intense, pulsing, beat heavy power percussion noise as created by LV21 for his band Ohrenschmerz (OHZ: which translates to "Ear Pain").
The blends of 'power' noise range from fast rhythmic collages of deep bass with scratchy inserts of synth work to crashing metallic beat rumblings and high tension static. Void of melody, this release combines all the best equations for success in the genre of power percussion/noise. This release should delight those of you who are already familiar with bands off Ant-Zen or Possessive Blindfold Recordings, [P.A.L and others] who are at the forefront of the genre, Ohrenschmerz rates right up at top with these entities. I suggest you visit Ohrenschmerz online and get ahold of this very limited and very impressive release. Note to label owners: Ohrenschmerz is looking to get signed.
