Parzival combines Crusades [army] style kettle drums and horns with Latin and German lyrics, and gothic style vocals to make one of the most interesting combinations I've heard in a long time. This band definitely deserves congratulations for their creativity. They also throw in some interesting darkwave, gothic keys, and beats to mix with their bombastic beats. I must admit, the album took me aback slightly at first, but I very rapidly grew to like its unusual style. For instance, they have army chants with some random piano, horns, and deep rumbling vocals in many of the songs. As far as I can tell, they sing about the Christian Crusaders, but my Latin and German aren't up to par. The topic of the lyrics is very appropriate to the style of the music. A very innovative and interesting CD from this Russian band. I await future cds.
