Swedish upcoming act Run Level Zero provided us with a solid 8 track demo, showcasing their flair for classic hard and harsh electronic rhythms. Reminiscent of older industrial electro/ebm acts, this demo provides harsh vocal treatments atop minimal distorted rhythms and synth tracks. The songs are generally minimal, but solid. Songs are nicely produced and polished with sporadic reverberation and textures providing a dark ambience. Stand out tracks include "My Tormentor" and "Cleansing Heat". This is definitely ingrained into a well-traveled path of harsh industrial electronics, so Run Level Zero has hefty shoes to fill to stand out among countless other similar bands. Akin to the style of bands like Suicide Commando and retaining a distinct quality of their own, Run Level Zero seem to have a solid foundation from which they will evolve.
