Well, yeah- it's five years later and we're just now getting around to reviewing this. Speak to my editor if you've got a complaint, I just write 'em up.
My youngest brother is a novice trance-deejay, a legend in his own mind, and not usually impressed by most industrial music. Supposedly, he was inspired to mix some of this album into his routine, so I guess he liked it pretty well. Upon first listening to Victim Of Lies, you can hear the potential for mixing, though things get pretty noisy and non-rhythmic at points throughout.
Some people might initially consider this album disjointed or messy, after awhile we understand that's it's merely the intention of the creators to convey a sense of violent schizophrenia, or perhaps chaos. Whatever the case, it's pretty ugly at points-uglier than your typical Nettwerk/Metropolis/21st Century bands, which is why it would be good material to punish your children with, or small animals, or your local deejay.
I'll eventually get around to finding out whether or not these guys even still exist, let alone whether they made any other records, no information could be found at the time of this writing, save a P.O. Box number in England. In the meantime, I'll play Victim Of Lies over and over when things seem to be going too well, and I'll encourage you to do the same. If these guys are anything like what they produce, we can safely assume that they've died violent deaths, perhaps taking others with them. Enjoy the fruits of their labor if you can find them.
