Crepuscule is an extremely innovative and unique project in the experimental music scene today. Mutilated voices and quite odd soundstructures move around and drunken the listener in a very confused feeling of, "what the hell is going on?" For example, on the track Mother it moves from relaxed atmospherics, samples of eerie sounding childrens' toys and the whispers of people seeping in and out of the compositions to a repetitive loop which really sets the stage for events to come as the samples become more dense at the heart moving outward.
It tells an interesting story of a "mother"'s love for her "son" going a few steps too far, where in her need to isolate him she murders his lover. He, the son, then murders his mother and in doing so murders the "life-giver." Perhaps this mother is a metaphor for a god of somesort or productive, yet obsessive force, I am not really sure. Either way, the cd is truly excellent and anyone who is into experimental-ambient music on the very edge of noise should definitely check it out.
