In this recording, Dementia Simplex serve up some very well produced electro-rock. Unfortunately, there's no originally. Half of this recording sounds like old-school Front 242 with better production and the other half of this recording sounds like various Skinny Puppy things. When I say sounds like, I really mean just that. It sounds almost identical down to the vocalists! Coincidentally, whenever the Skinny Puppy sounding vocalist is being utilized, the music sounds like Skinny Puppy exactly with horribly similar percussive sequencings, tones used, musical basis, vocal processing, etc. etc. and whenever the Front 242 sounding vocalist is being utilized, the music sounds like old 242. Overall, it all sounds good and it's very obvious that the band members really know what they're doing when it comes to their equipment and preparing label-worthy material.
None of the tracks really stand out but it's fairly good music to have on in the background as none of the tracks sound bad really. If you enjoy serial killer related electronic music then you're really enjoy Dementia Simplex's work.
