"Hide", the latest release from Hebephrenic, incorporates a good
deal of budget gear with tracking (!!) to create a wide taste in music.
With 20 tracks to please the listener, "Hide" delivers quality.
Much respect goes out to Hebephrenic with this statement on the
liner notes: "Long Live Impulse Tracker!" Yes. Hooray for tracking!
Anyway, this tape is a lot of fun :) Amid the bouncy, fun tracks with
vocals are those with drone and noise implementation. I love listening
to this tape all the way through, as it really is fun. My favorite would
have to be track 3 on side two, "Tic Toc"; a silly and swaying track about
the countdown on a clock. Hebephrenic incorporates quite a bit of talent
into a tape that, even without polished production, shines. I look forward
to future releases from Hebephrenic and may look into picking up past
releases of his.
