Kuscha Sweet Little Lie Track Listing 1: How
Kuscha Hatami
bills his self-produced debut, "Sweet Little Lie" as a blending of genres with
elements ranging from Black Sabbath to Depeche Mode.
Created on his own 8-track digital studio with all parts recorded and played
by himself, Kuscha creates a brooding, joyless album that borders on glam rock. I have to say that listening to this does make me feel good about my own musical aspirations. "Sweet Little Lie" is a completely solo release created at his own home, which is very respectable. There is very little emotion in this album - a bleak and joyless mood accompanies it. This would work to its favor if it actually came together well. The guitar work, while talented, is hollow. The percussion follows the same formula as countless other bands. The vocals aren't a joy to listen to, either, and I think Kuscha should ask Leeb for lyric-writing advice. Maybe, just maybe, fans of, say, Rammstein who want a LOT less aggression and MUCH more angst would be pleased - say, an un-funny Marilyn Manson. [However], there is definately evidence of hard work. |
