Professionally created sound, production, art and mastering, "Masala" is a rich
blend of meditative ambient contemporary and jazz music that creates a warm and inviting
atmosphere. The tempting beats (sounds like water bowls...), and bamboo flutes entice me
to dance into a blissful meditative mood. Mellow and very smooth, this entire release
drifts along within a dreamy realm of calm and sensuous timbres, percussion and flute with
a flavour of Eastern culture. It is an easy release to become wrapped up with like a cosy
blanket near a quiet fire in winter and a cup of tea by which to relax.
"Materiali Sonori" releases quite a bit of excellent music
(you can locate works by John Zorn and Arlo Bigazzi there), "Masala" is no
exception with this # 7. in a series of releases of this nature, "Music For
Meditation." As the inside cover suggests: "It's different to all that you have
ever heard. Best Use: Body cheer up and Mind clean up. And rightfully so as I have found #
7. Drop is indeed a step towards cleansing of the mind and a beautifully harmonic set of
aural instruction to facilitate inner peace.
