Don Gordon and David Collings come together once more to terrify their audience with the brutal reality of what occurs in everyday life through their undeniably intense and fast-paced beats coupled with a vengeful stream-of-consciousness lyrical rage of such intelligence and imagination it rivals the writings of James Joyce himself. James Joyce being the predominant literary figure in stream-of-conscious writing. "Language of Silence" uses the complex and intricate layers Don Gordon has come to excel in creating, to wind its way into one's body and enlighten a mind as to the simple reality of human beings' innate repugnance and cruelty.
Once achieving its primary objective, the music twines Collings' hate-filled voice into the malignant yet aggressively awe inspiring and unbroken scythe-like sound of unimaginable pain, which Numb has come to be known and loved for. Collings' vocals add the perfect edge to the concentrated firing of Gordon's layered factory machine sampling and overlaying beats -- not to mention the twanging synths, which seem to slice into the very core of your being making you yearn for more.
The music Don Gordon and David Collings create together is unmatched anywhere in the music industry and will forever hold a place in my heart. "Language of Silence" is a must for anyone who relies on hate-filled and intelligent songs to get them through life.

(Random fact - not many know this, but "Language of Silence" was actually written and partially created before the release of Numb's previous full-length album "Blood Meridian", but due to situational difficulties "Language of Silence" had to wait another year before its liberation into the public.)
