"Pulse Legion was formed in 1996 in Hawaii by John Ricker and Samuel P, although within a year they had relocated to Los Angeles and ascquired a third member, Jason DM.  Together these three electronic musicians created synthetic dance music at its best, and soon were picked up by COP International Records for the release of their debut recording - 1997's "Evolve."  Well received by both fans and press, "Evolve" showed a band at its peak, not a band just starting its recording career."

Who would have suspected such a delightful release from Metropolis with Pulse Legion's "One Thing?" Very tasty music from this trio!  The sounds on this release range from exotic eastern influenced melody with enchanting female vocals on the opening track, "aNoxia", to swirling aggressive Electro-Body-Music throughout the CD.
Elements in the release include: harsh EBM, intense and prolific beats and percussion, treated vocals (again not annoying as some vox/treated vocals can be...), plenty of aggressive dance tempo's, underlying melody associated with EBM, and catchy changes in rhythms.
Overall this release is a good one for dance clubs, getting your butt out of bed in the morning, or general listening pleasure. I dont' think it's something you would want to play while doing your homework however...it does have a great sound, and the production seems above average. If you like bands like (early) :Wumpscut:, Aghast View, Numb, Covenant etc. This is the type of music with which Metropolis Records is best known. Don't miss this "One Thing!"
