They'll never cease to amaze me. Justin Broadarick (aka JK-Flesh of
Godflesh, God, Napalm Death, Ice, ect.) and Kevin Martin (aka K-Mart of God and Ice) let
loose another 80 min of chaotic audio warfare. Radio Hades is a collection of B sides,
remixes, and compilation tracks so that collectors like me aren't bying up 40 or 50 comps
and 7"s so we might hear one Techno Animal track. All Techno Animal blows me away.
What a task it would be to describe every single track in detail. I've had this CD for a
few months now and I'm still hearing things I don't remember hearing before. Sometimes
ambient and noisy, sometimes ridiculous and amazing, and others loud, dancy, and
aggressive.
Techno Animal is famous for drowning every track with as many drums,
samples, and bass driven noise as technically possible. An odd blend of tribal, hip hop,
dub, and funk beats all streamed together under heavy distortion and pitch shifters, that
says it. A monstrousity. Any fan of any Broadarick or Martin work would be at a lose
without giving this a spin. I even give this to my friends into hip-hop and watch them get
crackheaded with it.
