FAQ
&
A Brief Introduction
What's this all about?
In the future, this is where you will find new articles by
and about some of the female entities in and of the
Underground Music scene from around the world.
Review articles of their music will be found on the front
page as they are reviewed, and incorporated within the
reviews just like any other CD reviews at Last Sigh.
Special Feature articles will headline the front page and
be incorporated into the features with all others.
Why are we doing this?
Last Sigh decided that women in the "scene" don't
receive as much attention in the media as do the males
of the genres/music. So we took it upon ourselves to
recently contact a great number of women who are
involved in the fields of art, writing, composing,
producing or promoting the music. We asked them if
they would be interested in being published at Last Sigh
and working with us, and so far, over twenty of them said YES, none declined the offer --
which lead us to
believe that they too were indeed interested in getting
their voice, art and music heard.
OH NO! Is this going to be one of those
"women's libber" things?
NO!
We would like you to know that this doesn't mean
Last Sigh is going to become a forum for Women's
Liberation, but rather a place for the public to see what
some of the women have done in the past or are doing
currently, and their plans in the future. We will present
them to you in the most professional way possible to
enhance their success, just like we do with
other artists already on Last Sigh.
What exactly are you going to do then?
Our first article will most likely be an overview
of who we are going to be working with in the future
and a brief biography of those individuals and bands.
It is our hopes that you will enjoy reading about these
creative souls that get so little publicity, as we continue
to structure our work at bringing you the
Women In-dustrial.
Is there more?
YES!
Last Sigh in conjunction with COP International's FIG
Industrial Goth Women awards in June, San Francisco
this year are going to have a give-away contest for
correctly answering a simple questionaire, of which the
entries will be randomly pulled as winners of items
created or produced by Women In the scene.
So watch the front page for more details, and don't
forget to go VOTE for whom you think are the most
Industrial Goth women at the COP International Site.
You will find a graphic there that will transport you.
Can I help in any way?
YES!
If you would like more information about this project or
know of any women/bands in the genres or field Last
Sigh covers that might be interested in this endeavour
of ours, just have them EMAIL us. Special Thanks
for
everyone so far who has helped us to contact some of
the Women In-dustrial Underground.
This is networking at its finest!
Who is heading this project?
Sin-cerely,
Kim Ann Alexander & Jensenne Roculan
